Happy Spring!
Is it really; happy I mean? This certainly is a different kind of spring than I've ever seen before. As the weather gets better we will be able to get outside even though social distancing is now the norm. And this is the earliest spring in your lifetime. The last time spring came this early on the calendar was 1896. The spring equinox also is one of the two times per year where almost most of the earth has equal amounts of day as night. That in one sense puts us all on the same playing field.
It seems to me that this is a very new time for all of us and we are all on the same playing field. We all feel under the same threat, the same financial hit, the same social distance and the same waiting game. We have gotten past the initial fear.

What do we do now?
Michele had a word for us this past Tuesday that feels very important to share...
Joel 2: 1, 12,13
Blow the trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming-it is close at hand. “Even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting weeping and mourning.” Rend your heart and not your garments. Return to the Lord your God for He is slow to anger and abounding in love.
I believe God his calling the Bride to take this time aside from the world and settle in at home. It is not a time to party like we are stranded or to have a steady diet of news and social media. It is a time to set ourselves apart in His presence. A time to be refreshed, built up in our faith. A time to cleanse our body from junk food, a time to spring clean our homes, a time to get rid of the clutter, a time to go outside and breathe fresh air. This is a time to come close to the Lord and be strengthened because there is a storm coming. It is not a pestilence to bring destruction. This is the big one. As things quiet down you will see in the days ahead that this truly was a calm before my storm.
For I am about to storm the nations with the cloud of my glory. I am about to open the floodgates of heaven over the generations in the nations. My Spirit will cover the earth and I will have my harvest.
Joel 2:28
And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people, Your sons and daughters shall prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on my servants both men and women, I will pour out my Spirit in those days.
This is a time of rest, refreshing and renewal - to get ready. The Bride is going to be very busy in the days to come, caring for the little ones I am bringing to the table. Get ready!
Song of Songs 2:10
My lover spoke and said to me, “Arise my darling, my beautiful one, and come away with me.”
Song of Songs 2:14
My dove in the clefts of the rock, in the hiding places on the mountainside show me your face, let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet and your face is lovely. Catch for us the little foxes that ruin the vineyard, our vineyards that are in blossom.
God wants to see our face; He wants to hear our voice. He wants us to clean up and get rid of the little things that defile us. He wants to touch us deeply and help us to become even more like him so we are prepared to bring in the harvest that is already in blossom. The vineyard is already in bloom!
Take heart church! These are great times of refreshing - but each one must come to Him for themselves. No one can hide in the crowd. It’s personal time with The Father.
And for those who are living a life of great responsibility in these times that seem uncertain - they are not uncertain. You must come to me in faith and rest. I will take care of the details that surround you. You must come into my presence and I will refresh you and I will take care of your concerns. Listen to my voice and I will give you direction and my favour shall rest upon you. No weapon formed against you shall prosper.
Psalm 5:12
For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favour as with a shield.
So Take Heart and know that I, the Lord am with you. I will never leave you or forsake you. You are my precious treasure and I am bringing you forward this day.
Be blessed today on St. Patrick’s Day, by The Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
Please consider this word and use some time to pray and meditate on the scripture. Father is waiting to commune with you.
And call someone in your church family and go for a 2 metre walk. Two meters apart; not two meters long. LOL I had nice long walk yesterday with an incredible conversationalist and came home feeling very much alive.
Yes it is a happy spring... our world has changed but our Father has not. He still is carrying His people through every season.
Much blessing to you all and please stay safe,
Pastor Mike
