Supernatural Creativity

I love the prayer of Jesus in John 17.  Look at verse 4…

John 17:4 (NIV84)
4 I have brought you glory on earth by completing the work you gave me to do.

Jesus life is a picture of the Christian life.  Christian means "like" or "originating from" Christ.  What does it look like to be on the on Earth in this moment and to glorify God by completing the work that God has for each one of us to accomplish?

The amazing thing about this day is that God has given us the creative power to wisely choose new directions and keep on doing the work.  The creative Father, Son and Holy Spirit are working in and through us even in this unusual day of world shutdown.  It is a little crazy out there and the killer is silent but God has not moved out of His position of power and glory.  Nor has our Father taken back the authority, creativity, spiritual gifts, and faith that He has given us.  It’s Monday morning, time to get to work glorifying God in all that we do.

I’ve discovered that the experts are right; when I am afraid I go into “fight or flight” mode.  It may look like worry, anger, panic, anxiety or even crazy levels of sanitizing.  LOL  If your mind is busy with COVID-19 you will not be able to be creative.  When things are out of sorts, creativity is the necessary ingredient to bring order.  This is especially true when it is a higher level of disorder than we have had in recent history.  This is new territory for most of the people in the world.

The majority of us are not in the position to help with the disease but we are finding ourselves with time on our hands since offices are closed and public places are restricted.  If we can shut off the bad news and turn on the good news we will be able to think straight and creatively bringing about rest and peace where there is none.  The enemy is wanting to use this for disarray and pandemonium.  God desires to use this uproar as a tool of good for us.

Romans 8:28 (NASB95)
28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

What creative way can we join with Father to see His goodness poured out during this time?  Don’t forget that if it's humanly possible we only need ourselves but God wants to do what is supernatural.  That means anything is possible for you, your families, your friends, your finances, your illnesses etc.  We know the enemy is roaring like a lion but the real lion is Jesus.  Let’s go and make disciples of nations as commanded.  Let’s show up with our love turned on and with the creativity of the creator.  Let’s bring glory to God on Earth by doing the work He gave us to do.

The doctors are bringing creative solutions.  The governments are bringing creative solutions.  The church has supernatural power to bring creativity to bear in this season of change.  Let's make a new direction and never return to yesterday.  Why not let this trouble be the catalyst to a whole new era and defeat the enemy in double-time?  Pray for solutions to help us do the work that God has given us to do.

  1. I love the word "creative". I'm having a lot of creative fun with some of the girls in my connection group-lol. We are developing little "buzz" words and our own language- aha aha! There are many ways to show creativity in showing our love" I'm wondering what creative ways others are using or discovering to show love to those around us?

Thank-you for this post. It's great to be reminded... "all things are possible".

Never Say Never! There is always hope.

Hello to All, I pray this finds you all safe and well.  The purpose of this blog is for us to stay connected to one another during the difficult time of the COVID-19 Pandemic. I will be writing some thoughts every day or two while we are waiting out the rise and fall of this horrible virus. Here and there we may have some visiting bloggers so keep checking back. This page will be linked to SCCF's Facebook page.  At the bottom of the blog you can give comments.  I pray this will be a blessing to you all.  So here goes... Hezekiah's Bold Prayer Reading:    Isaiah 38:1-8 Wow!  God changed direction from what He had previously decreed because of one man's prayer.  Two important distinctions are laid out here.  Hezekiah prayed and Hezekiah wept bitterly.  Prayer reveals his desire and weeping reveals how he is feeling.  And God heard his prayer and saw his tears which in turn causes Him to change His mind.  Fifteen years are added to Hezekiah's life.  I was prayi

Happy Spring?

Happy Spring! Is it really; happy I mean?  This certainly is a different kind of spring than I've ever seen before.  As the weather gets better we will be able to get outside even though social distancing is now the norm.  And this is the earliest spring in your lifetime. The last time spring came this early on the calendar was 1896.  The spring equinox also is one of the two times per year where almost most of the earth has equal amounts of day as night.  That in one sense puts us all on the same playing field. It seems to me that this is a very new time for all of us and we are all on the same playing field.  We all feel under the same threat, the same financial hit, the same social distance and the same waiting game. We have gotten past the initial fear.   What do we do now? Michele had a word for us this past Tuesday that feels very important to share... Joel 2: 1, 12,13 Blow the trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm on my holy hill.  Let all who live in the land tre
