Hello to All,
I pray this finds you all safe and well. The purpose of this blog is for us to stay connected to one another during the difficult time of the COVID-19 Pandemic. I will be writing some thoughts every day or two while we are waiting out the rise and fall of this horrible virus. Here and there we may have some visiting bloggers so keep checking back. Hezekiah's Bold Prayer
Reading: Isaiah 38:1-8
Wow! God changed direction from what He had previously decreed because of one man's prayer. Two important distinctions are laid out here. Hezekiah prayed and Hezekiah wept bitterly. Prayer reveals his desire and weeping reveals how he is feeling. And God heard his prayer and saw his tears which in turn causes Him to change His mind. Fifteen years are added to Hezekiah's life. I was praying concerning COVID-19. So many countries have incredible losses and Canada is growing in concern so asked Father God what scripture He wanted me to turn to. The immediate answer was Isaiah 38:2-3. I felt like God was telling us to get real about this issue. We must be compassionate and care deeply for the nations and then cry out in prayer and He will come to our aid.
Do you feel compassion for China, Italy, Spain and Iran? What about Europe and The Americas? Will you get bold in your prayer like Hezekiah? Will you ask for the impossible? Do you believe God is in the business of answering prayer? Let's get busy. Let's pray for nations and for people and for businesses and family. Let's not let this time of separation be a time of separation for God's heart for the world.
